Thank you, friend of Lokis, for taking this on my phone! It’s my one immediate memory of the Loki army today and I’m so glad for it. I am the ridic short one in the middle.

Today: STGCC itself wasn’t much (as anticipated), but the shenanigans were amazing. After flailing around with make-up and a mirror with no earthy idea what I was doing, I hopped onto the train in Loki regalia (save the emblem and gloves) and arrived at the con center to find my belt misaligned because of press stud displacement. After a thankfully minor fix, I ran into an adorable movie Loki (sadly going home) and later, as I wandered in, The Char who has grown up truly sexy, is as lovely in personality as I remember and was cosplaying Armour in a nice skintight suit. Ahem.

At that point I was greeted by the lone (Tales of Asgard) Thor of the Loki band, whom I promised to meet up with along with the aforementioned bunch of Lokis, then made my rounds in an attempt to experience the con.

Overall I was stopped a lot more than anticipated (else I wouldn’t have been fumbling my gloves on every time), and much to my astonishment, greeted twice with the recognition of me having been Red Robin last year! OK, so it was prolly due to the same flippy hair, but I’m still amazed and flattered. I was really touched to be stopped, and by the heartwarmingly enthusiastic “kid Loki!” calls. Thank you so much! I do what I do for purely selfish reasons, haha, and it’s a massive bonus when other people get a kick outta it too.

In my rounds I also ran into Kuro, Saturday’s beautiful Lady Loki, which made me raeg. (God I love Lady Loki! Aaargh!) I later encountered Kiellne in a stunning Wiccan costume, and found out I’d missed her YJ (Tim) Robin. I wanted to hit up Dorm and his compatriot (this year as a promised couch potato Deadpool and a ridic suitable Captain Marvel, I believe?) before I’d left, but I couldn’t find them later. In summary, what a damn shame. I wasn’t allowed to be upset though, considering that Sunday was the right time to meet up with Chris and the rest of the Loki (+ToA Thor + the world’s most patient photographer(s)) crew. As it turns out, all of them are unbelievably kind, accommodating, sweet people who looked splendid. These people were crazy nice - I mean, movie Loki offered me a bite of a poptart. Kid Loki offered me a box of poptarts. In fact, they repeatedly offered me sustenance and were just too bloody nice. All the shenanigans you can expect a bunch of Lokis and a ToA Thor to get up to were gotten up to, and I happily await the results.

Just a wee bit saddened that at some point my belt bent and my flippy hair gave up the ghost, but I’ll live. I’ve been treated so well today and astounded by the positivity lavished my way in regards to both my comic costumes that it just isn’t right to whinge about those little things. Thank you so much, everyone, for making the con worthwhile. Deciding to do kid Loki before he bites it was a really fortuitous decision and I am very grateful.

It was a joy and an honour to have you with us today, and I speak for all of us when I say you were amazing, and epic, and very, very wonderful. I’m delighted you had such a great time today, and let me just say you were an absolutely epic kid Loki. Come hang out with us anytime!
