A/N: I didn’t actually intend on writing this but it somehow happened. O_o; Readers won’t need to be familiar with Temeraire for this story, because I’m a lazy researcher and didn’t want to get caught up with the details ^^;;; Basically, dragonrider fic, plus A/B/O trope.

Summary: The Shire has sent Bilbo and his companion, Myrtle, to Erebor to answer the call to the war council. Azog is massing an army, but Bilbo isn’t entirely sure why this concerns the Shire with its gentle folk and small dragons.

Summary: The problem, Bilbo would later tell Gandalf in aggrieved irritation, was not so much the unannounced visitors, oh no, but the fact that due to the lateness of the hour and sheer merciless fate, it came to be that at the respectable age of forty, Bilbo was being introduced to a real, live king while wearing striped pyjamas and fluffy slippers.
